Evanthia Sakellari is Associate Professor at the Department of Public and Community Health and the Director of Health Promotion and Health Education. She is member of the Research Laboratory of Hygiene and Epidemiology of the Department of Public and Community Health, leading the special unit of Health Promotion.
Evanthia Sakellari holds a PhD on Health Sciences from the University of Turku (Finland) and she has extensive research experience, nationally and internationally, which has led to a number of publications in peer reviewed journals. She is teaching and supervising theses at graduate and postgraduate level in Greece and other European countries. She works closely with the Greek Ministry of Health in the development and evaluation of health education interventions in the school setting. She has been the project leader of the “Educating Vaccination Competence” Erasmus+ project and she is the local coordinator and project manager several Erasmus+ projects in the field of health promotion in the community including schools.
