Currently, pursuing a doctorate in Environmental and Social Psychology, Alexios holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Education, Postgraduate Program in Theory, Practice and Evaluation of Education. He also holds an undergraduate academic degree from the Faculty of Philosophy, Pedagogy and Psychology of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece with specialization in Psychology.
His research and working interests are related to education in high-risk environments and humanitarian settings, the characteristics of children’s and adolescents’ development and their educational and psychosocial needs.
Skilled in the adaptation and the publication of training and programming guides, has operated in many refugee camps and facilities in Greece, the Balkan route and Italy.
Recent mandates for the United Nations (UNFPA, UNICEF) as co-author of the Boys on the Move (BOTM) life skills curriculum. Providing abilities for adaptive and positive behavior that enable individuals to deal effectively with the demands and challenges of everyday life. BOTM is a non- formal educational program of life skills for adolescent boys and young men displaced by conflict, poverty and often both.
